Uh uh, it feels good, man. Make me feel like I can drink and drive. You know what I'm saying? Alright now. All right now. Ain't that what it's supposed to do, right? Not too much, though. Nah, it's supposed to give me like confidence. Confident, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02It'll sneak up on you now. It's sneak up on you now.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? That's why I just want us a little sip, though. I don't want that much. Yeah, this shit starting. So, man, hey. My first question is, man, what part of what part of South Florida you from, man? North Miami, man. Yeah, I know. No Miami 6A, the location though, not the game. You know what I'm saying? I grew up there all my life, man. Nah. That's a gym. For sure. That's why I rep NM so hard, bro. Yeah. You feel me? I grew up there. Um, and it made me who I am now, nah. Like, made me be myself, growing up out, growing up, growing up around like hood niggas and shit like that. You know what I'm saying? So it was like I got that, like, that, that tough soul, like, where it's like, you, it's nothing you can say to me, because I grew up around niggas that's been bullying me. Been toughening me up and shit like that. You feel what I'm saying? Been throwing me in the fire, type shit. You feel me? So I appreciate that shit so much, man. And it's like North Miami's reason why I'm at No Miami's different. Yeah, for sure. No Miami's definitely different, man. There's some different souls in No Miami, boy. I had I had I had Lucky C here what a couple weeks ago, and he in North Miami. You know what I'm saying? Lucky No Miami legend for sure. Shout out to him. Yeah, yeah. You know, you know what's crazy. I I fought with Lucky C a lot because um when my name, before like really my name started coming up, and I had to stop right there, homie, he still spin that shit on the radio on 99 jam. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right. Cause he, yeah, because you, because he, you, you, yeah, you, you are, you is on 99 jam with that. Stop right there, homie. Yeah, so yeah, so people come up to you like, oh shit, I heard you on the radio, I heard you on the radio, yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's crazy. I haven't said that shit in probably like three years, and he still played, bro. Shout out to him. That's a that's a that's like uh that's a supporter right there. Yeah, yeah. What's up? And you know what's crazy? Like, other DJs ask me, yo, do a drop for me, do a drop for me. Like, I've never done a drop for nobody else but Lucky C, bro. That's what's up, man. That's what's up. So, uh how you know how long you how okay, let me let me hammer do this. When did you realize you was funny? Uh sis legit, man. Sis legit. You feel what I'm saying? Like, that was my best trait because I wasn't out here getting money. You know what I'm saying? I wasn't out here beating swagging, yeah. You know what I'm saying? Selling drinks. I wouldn't get into fighting. You ain't doing no shouette. You know what I'm saying? I wasn't getting no hoes, so it's like I had no choice. You know what I'm saying? But to tell jokes, yeah. I had to be useful somehow.
SPEAKER_02You feel me? You gotta use a lot of these talent some way, somebody. Yeah, talent. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Once you get the female laughing, laughing, you got him. You funny, boy. You feel me?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's it's like, and and that's what kept my head afloat, man, because I was a funny nigga, so niggas wanted to be hang around me, chicks wanted to hang around me. You feel me? So, yeah, that's where that's where I really learned my niche by just being funny. Okay, I could I could get away with this. You know what I'm saying? Even though I got these little uh shack shoes on, but the fact that I'm so funny, nobody wants to know the shoes.
SPEAKER_02You gotta take a shack, you gotta take these little shoes off.
SPEAKER_01When you feel you can get away with shit. You feel me? So yeah, man, like I've been I've been knowing since I was a kid, man. Even when I was at school, like, yo, you look like Eddie Murphy, you look like this and that, man. You should be this. And ever since then, bro, I just been like, you know, just been joking, joking, and I always been like a free-spirited person, bro, where it's like I'm never afraid to speak my mind. Right, right, right, right. Because I could always be myself in any situation, right? You feel me?
SPEAKER_02That's good, though. That's good, yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's a good trait to have. Yeah, for sure. And then once once I I met up with my homeboy Godma, he really unlocked that like comedian side of me. You know what I'm saying? I've always been funny, but to really think like, yo, I could actually be a comedian, I can actually show the world like yo, I got a talent to make just anybody laugh. You feel what I'm saying? And he really put that battery in my back. Because I I I all I always give him that praise, and he don't really get the spotlight the way I do. You know what I'm saying? Everybody see me on social media with all these followers, and I'm on stage with him like that, and he's more so like a backstage. So, so not the card, yo. So you saying this to say that, right? So that's who really got you started in comedy. 100%. He said, bro, hey, come in, come do this comedy shit with me. Who, who, who, who, what's his name? Gamma 305. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he really put that battery in my mind.
SPEAKER_01And he don't really get the shine the way I do, you know what I'm saying? But it's like, he's the reason, bro. Like, it'll be like 2 3 in the morning, he'll call me like, yo, I got this idea, da da da. And I'll draw it up, boom. Fucking 50,000 views, 100,000 views, you know what I'm saying? Just like, and hey, come do the show with me, whatever, like that. I'll go do the show and writing up jokes. So, oh, this shit's funny, oh, this is funny, oh, you should do this and this. It's like he really gave me that idea, even when I didn't think like it was a good idea. Like, he's the type of nigga where it's like the first thing that comes to his mind, like, I gotta write it down. Well, I gotta call, like, he, bro, he has really been a great inspiration to me for real.
SPEAKER_02That's what's up. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01Like, shout out to him. That's what's up, man. That's I like that, man. So and another thing, right? How is it, right, doing stand up? Because I I've seen you doing stand up. It's a monster, bro. Like, it's that it really opens your mind on how like you'll be in front of a crowd, and it's like it can go either way. You don't you don't know, you ever got booed? I never got booed, but I've I've had shows. Shit, I recently had a show at the improv where I didn't make nobody laugh. Then the following the following week, I had a show at No Miami where everybody's going crazy. You get what I'm saying? It's a crowd. You feel what I'm saying? Like, so it'd be times where it's like that that it it shows you how good you can write, how good your performance is on stage, your talking points, you know what I mean? Like, um, sometimes when you talk on a mic, you get caught in mouth. So you gotta keep drinking water, know how to pace your words. Yeah, make sure you're not slurring your words, you know what I mean? Your delivery, your demeanor, your body language, like tells it all. It tells it everything, how confident you are telling a joke, but like all that shit is homework as opposed to like when you're recording a video, like, oh nah, let me re re-record this video. When you're on stage, like you're like, You can't re-retell that joke. Everything is fucking live, bro. That's the whole new beast right there. Yeah, you get what I'm saying? Like, so it really showed me, like, yo, I I gotta get in my back, I gotta study, I gotta write. You know what I'm saying? I gotta remember my lines, I gotta be sharp. Yeah. Because you never know when somebody might say something in the crowd, and okay, what am I gonna say to rebuttal that? What am I gonna say to, you know what I mean? Like, am I gonna be scared of like, hey, let's stop talking to myself, or am I gonna be that comedian where it's like, okay, boom, I'm gonna say this back, and everybody going crazy.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01People love stuff like that, so it's like it's it's it's a it's a different monster, bro. And not many people could do it. And if you can, bruh, it's like it shows you like that, that is that crowd reaction, it just means something. Like it just that electricity just runs through your body. It's like a drug, like you know, getting a million views on a video, it feels good too. Right, right. When you can stand in front of the stage and every all eyes on you, like I'm looking at you to make me laugh. Oh it's a wonderful, and you doing it, it's a wonderful thing.
SPEAKER_02Exactly, for real, for real. Because you like everybody that's sitting there watching, right? Yeah, why let me see what you gonna do?
SPEAKER_01Well, what Martin say say something funny, right? And and one thing I always take into account, like, yo, people paid to come see you. You know what I'm saying? You you you are in that reality now where like motherfuckers paying 20, 30, 40, 50 dollars to come see you.
SPEAKER_00That's real.
SPEAKER_01So take that shit seriously. Even if they're not paying to come see you, the fact that they got up out their bed to come to waste their gas money to see you on stage. Exactly. Like, never I've I never take that shit for granted, bruh. Because it's like, bruh, do you know what that means, bro? It means it always means something to me. You know what I'm saying? And it's like you're sometimes you never know what someone is is going through. They could have a family member pass away, they in debt, or they just lost their job, and you giving them like that moment of of that like you can escape from this reality. You know what I'm saying? That it's so therapeutic where it's like, damn, like despite I'm going through this, but for these next 15 or 20 minutes, bro. It's like I can just laugh and just release my pain. You get what I'm saying? So it's like that, it it it just that part of that stand, that aspect of that stand-up, yeah, that's what I love the most.
SPEAKER_02That's what's up.
SPEAKER_01So let me ask you this, right? You said that you went, you did a show, nobody laughed, and you wanted and you went somewhere else, everybody. How long weeks how did you let me ask you, how did you feel when no one laughed at your show, at your jokes, and then turn around, everybody laughed. What kind of feeling?
unknownWoo!
SPEAKER_01So it was at the Miami Improv. Uh, I got up there, I think I was supposed to do like 15 minutes. And um I got up there, and the after the first two jokes, like with me, it's like I gotta get going early. You know what I'm saying? Like, I still got certain weaknesses in my games where it's like I gotta hear the laugh within like the first two, three minutes of my set. If not, all right, we're gonna have a bad show. You know what I'm saying? We're gonna have a bad fucking show. Right? Yeah, so after the two, three minutes, like I don't hear no laughs. Now I'm just throwing shit out there, like, okay, yo, what's going on? How everybody doing tonight? All right, it's like now it's like, oh, what do I dig out? You know what I'm saying? It's like, and then it's like you'll throw a joke out there and someone gets offended. Now it's like, oh shit, and then yeah, it's like, oh Lord have mercy, bro. What the this shit feel like an open mic night? You feel me? So it's like when it those moments, it it like it really teaches me, like, bruh, did you come prepare? You know what I'm saying? How did you feel before coming into this show? Like, what is your mindset like? You know what I'm saying? Did you write your jokes properly? Did you layer your jokes properly? So it's like once I got off stage, I'm I'm not gonna lie, the whole night I felt, I felt small. You know what I'm saying? Like I felt like, damn, like I can't believe. Yeah, exactly. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's like, and I hate letting people see me in that fucking light because I know I'm good enough to go out there and give you a great 30-minute clip. You get what I'm saying? So it's like knowing the only thing I was I was able to hang my hat on is like I know I had a show next fucking week in front of my North Miami crowd. And I told myself, bruh, I'm gonna fucking destroy this shit, bro. And lo and behold, bruh, for the next 25 minutes, I'm up there just just fucking ripping it, bro. And I'm like, bruh, as soon as I got off stage, you got I think uh Malik Willis was there, Fan Funny was there, Gamma 305 was there, big A was there. As soon as I got off stage, I'm me and Gamma, we hugged each other, uh, you know what I'm saying? Because like, bruh, it's that's all I can think about. Like, bruh, I know I'm good enough to do this shit. I just have to take my shit to another fucking level, bro. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying? Sometimes I feel like when I have bad shows, I kind of get too big headed, like, uh, it's whatever. You know what I'm saying? But it's just having shows where I do good, it's like, okay. Do you have nothing to cut you off? Do you have a lot of bad shows though? No, I don't have a lot of bad shows. I don't have a lot of bad shows. No, no, no, no. One thing I can't say, I don't have a lot of bad shows. I have bad shows here and there is because, and I feel like for the simple fact that it's like I don't prepare as well, and a lot of times where I go on a show without no practice. And sometimes I get away with it. You take it for granted because you you got you you you feel like all these people on social media are laughing or you getting all these views, so you thinking it's just no, that's what I'm just I don't know, me. Not so much, not so much that it's just sometimes I feel like sometimes I feel like I'm so good I could get away with it, and I have been getting away with it. But there's gonna be times where it's like, okay, nah, we're gonna bring your ass back to reality. Right. And that was a reality check for me. It's like, okay, now I gotta get back in my notes. Now I gotta get back in my books. You know what I'm saying? Now I gotta structure my joke where it's like, okay, uh-uh-uh, give them a sequence. And I wasn't doing that. I was going from joking about cars and tires to joking about the wolf and the fox that crossed the street. You get what I'm saying? Instead of giving them a storyline where it's like, okay, this makes sense, that I can relate to this, okay, okay, I see the point in this. Like, once you just go out there and just you so, so, another word, you was freestyling. So it's good for you to. So, so you so you you need to dress. 100%. I'm I'm one, I'm definitely one of the comedians that need to write my shit down. I don't go up there and real sit, man, you don't get your ugly. I'll do it for like one or two minutes, but I'm the type of comedian where I like to stick to my fucking script. Right, right, right. You know what I'm saying? I like to stick to my written. Like certain people could do it like I've watched Malik S go 20 minutes like off the head, and I'm like, damn, bro, like there's really levels to this shit. Yeah. And I am not there yet. At least you know, at least you know. Yeah. No, I'm always keeping real.
SPEAKER_02He has he he his level, he's he's his level is high enough that he can actually stand up. Because you know, some people can't eat it.
SPEAKER_01They can't do that. You're right, you're right. Shit, just off the fact that you're on stage and people looking at you like people get nervous. They start stuttering and shit. But but you know what though? You know what though, Zo? I seen I seen on social media where you on you on you on stage. I guess, I guess you edit it. That's the good part. I guess you edit the good part. Oh, yeah, furthermore, show the good part. Fuck me. I see when you're on stage, you like, I'm like, damn, my dog, damn, my dog got. So I'm saying, you know what I'm saying? Damn, you know? Yeah. So by this time, but I don't know. There's times where it's like you'll think like a joke is finna hit, and once you say, it's like, oh. Like crickets. Yeah, everybody like, and and that's the that's the harp. I wish I would get booed more than people be silent. Cause like you don't know when to get off stage now. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm out. You know what I'm saying? I'm like cool, I ain't, you know. When when motherfuckers quiet, it gives you that sense of thought like, still gonna change. If it boo you though, if that boo you, you gonna go back into that spot. I'm gonna be too what? I'm gonna go back to that spot like in the next two months. I ain't gonna bad media.
SPEAKER_02When he knows he, when he knows he, when he knows he's that, he's that he's that ninja, he like, yeah, I gotta see y'all two.
SPEAKER_01I really see him in two weeks, he's gonna see him in two months. I'd rather get booed than like I'm standing in front of crowd and I just deliver the two, three jokes and nobody laughed. So what's the difference? The boo and the quiet. Because the boo, you know, like you're doing terrible. You know 100% you're doing. Yeah, but when they're quiet, it's like, okay, maybe in your mind, like maybe I didn't say it right, or maybe I'm stuttering, or maybe they didn't hear me. Right, right. So you just don't know. You don't know what the vibe is like right now.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I got you.
SPEAKER_01So now you keep going, expecting like, and sometimes like, sometimes you could get up out of it. Sometimes you'll deliver a joke, they don't laugh, but you'll set another joke, okay. Boom, I'm back on. You know what I'm saying? But as supposed to like when you doing bad, and they boo you, okay, I'm out. Okay, y'all have a good night. Those things gonna come in. You closing up hell yeah. So they ain't gonna book you no more, that's fine. Nah, nah.
SPEAKER_02So you ain't coming back. How you came up with that unique name though?
SPEAKER_01What? The name, the Miami got jokes, yeah. Um I came up with it because um, as you know, Miami is not really a um a comedy city. Right. You know what I'm saying? It's comedy, uh scammers, drugs, parties, women, fast cars, money.
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
SPEAKER_01So it's like knowing like LA got a comedy scene, New York got a comedy scene, Chicago got a comedy scene, you know what I'm saying? Cali got a uh comedy scene. I always want to feel like, yo, we got jokes down here in Miami too. We got some talented comedians down here too. Yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying? And people don't read nobody because we don't really have that, that, that outlet like that. We got fat and funny, gamma 305, comedian untouchable, ridiculous Nick, big A, um, Spunky Robinson, you know what I'm saying? Pookie F B. We have so many fucking talented comedians down here, bruh. It's just sometimes we don't have that outlet. And it's like, it's so hard to make people laugh down here in Miami, bruh. You know what I'm saying? Like, if you can. Miami is is is is different, man.
SPEAKER_02Every aspect, dog. We too stone cold.
SPEAKER_01Too stone cold on everything, though. They think they're too cool. Miami niggas think they're too cool. You know what I'm saying? They ain't gonna lie. When they go to the club, they stand up, they stand looking at you. They're in the when you're in the club, everybody think they in the music video.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. Everybody think they in the club. We gotta laugh.
SPEAKER_01Nah, they don't have none of that, bro. It just like everybody thinks they just the star of the show when you at the club, no dancing, no nothing like that. It just, it's it's terrible now. But it's like you gotta look at it in a way of like, if you can break that mold, down here in Miami, you go anywhere and just flat out just go crazy. And you know what, you know what I noticed too, dog? Like when you talk about the club, about ain't no more club, ain't no more like you go, you know, back in the days, I remember back in the day when I I mean I used to go to Studio 183, the, you know what I'm saying, Mommy Knights, uh Big Daddy on 8600, you know, way back, you know what I'm saying, back in like in the 80s, you know what I'm saying? And shit like that. And and you you dancing with the girl, you do, ain't none of that shit. The roller, the disco tech, the disco tech, roller, superstar roller tech, all that shit. That shit ain't, I don't know what the hell. All niggas go to, boy, we'll take one, boy. Let's go to this, let's go. Because the clubs, those clubs ain't making no money off people dancing. They're making money off their sections, they bottles, they fucking wings. Like, imagine you got a club and all they just paying is admission and one uh one drink. And then the rest of the club, like, they dance or whatever, like that, as opposed to you got you done sold fucking 20 sections that night. Oh, you done made your money. You know what I'm saying? So why would I open up the dance floor where I could just fill these shit up with IKEA couches and just charge people $5,000. And they gonna, and the great thing about they they pay these shits. Niggas don't pay $5,000 for a section. Come with two bottles and shit. And I go, Ago bottle belly cost like $22, $23, $24. Some places cheaper than that, and niggas be going over there and paying fucking $150 for a bottle bell. I'm not fucking, boy, I'm glad I don't go out.
SPEAKER_02Right, like them days though, boy.
SPEAKER_01And them days when we was out there, who was out there wilding? Yeah, yeah. Them days, but you know, as you you know, yeah, as you you can't do I we can't do what we used to do. I'm 60 now, I can't do what I used to do an hour forty, one hour thirty. Shit. You never know. Nah, uh nah. I'm talking about to get down the boogie. I'm getting down a boogie because I gotta go down too low to boogie. This nigga ain't gonna let me down boogie. I could do some stuff for sure. I could do some stuff, I can do some stuff, but I can't do too much. I still do a little message got a little got a little something. You know what I'm saying? But you know, nigga gummo nothing. He do barbecues now. I don't cook out for the fella. We got something coming up the end of this month. Literally, we got something coming up the end of this month. Salmon, bro, salmon with an alfredo pasta afred. That's what I'm seeing the boy. Easy. Oh man, that's what the fellas coming to. No, that's what's it. That's it, man. You get you got the point of it, you get that point in your life. You just want to live life, just relax, dog. You know, with your with your family, your loved ones, your homies. And I don't really like going to a club too much. I don't like, it's not even just a club, I don't like going to places where it's too lit. Because when it's too lit, that means shoot shooting gonna happen. On type of shit. You know what I'm saying? That's when niggas start, that's when niggas start shooting. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's that's why I don't really don't go out to where it's like it's too much people. I see that I I think I see they open back up uh the office. I think they open back up the office. I think that's a rumor, but I the office open up every every other year, bro. That place is never gonna stay closed, bro. Yeah, I I think I see they opening it up or whatever, whatever. You know what I'm saying? I'm like, okay. I had some good times at the office, man. Yeah, I I I mean, I've I've I've the only time that I've been to the office is like whenever when I was messing around managing artists, you know, when I was into that, dipping and dabbing, and they would come in town or whatever, artists come in town, we'll go, you know. You should have the artists perform at at the at the office? Yeah, yeah. At 2, 3 in the morning?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh man. You know what I'm saying? And you know terrible, man. Why would you do that? Why did that to the boys, man? Losing sleep. No, but but but but you know what I'm saying? And and I had him. I had, you know what I'm saying? We got a little section, whatever, whatever. And you know, a couple people come from, I had an artist one time come from Vegas, and he came down, you know what I'm saying? And he wanted to do what he do, so you know, yeah shit like that. But then I'll come out. You feel what I'm saying? But I this nigga, I don't think, have you ever come out? You ain't never let come out. That nigga never come. Nah. I come out, but I come out and I'll be like, you know, yeah, let my face see my face. Yeah, yeah. I'm gone. I leave, you know. I ain't got time for that. I'm a gum one dog. I had wrong with you. You know what I'm saying? Be out there partying and nah man. And sit like that, man. With titles, man, where you going, man? Papa Zoo, man. Hey, man. In and out. Be in and out. Out, man. I'm out. So man, hey man, hey, I'm gonna tell you something. So, what okay, what what's your what's your what's your short-term goal and your long-term goal? Um, my short-term goal, I want to start making like sitcom skits like key and peel. So I'm I'm working on that with my cameraman uh Gamma, uh, who've been uh writing scripts and trying to put shit together because I really want to get into not just content creating, but like I want to say, I wouldn't say like filmmaking, but it's like um you ever watched the old Day Chappelle uh show? Yeah, yeah. Something like that. Okay, okay, yeah, yeah. That's that'd be nice. Yeah. Hey, keep me in mind, man. Not for if you want if you need me to come do a little something. I'm a funny ass Haitian too now. No, for sure, for sure.
SPEAKER_02Me too, man. Me too. I'm funny. Get your shit ass out of here. People laugh. People be laughing at me before we make people laugh.
SPEAKER_01Um my long-term goal is to start going on tour. Um, but I haven't really like put it together because I want to make sure I have like a good hour clip where I can like go up there and have a good hour of material. That's why I really started yet. You know, some people, Joe, you gotta start writing. You gotta stop going off the dome. You ain't that goddamn good yet. Because you, not because I said it, because me looking, me outside looking in, I'm thinking, I'm I'm loving my god joke. That's my Haitian young brother right there. And so he's prospering. Because I remember you, you, you, you've been on my show. Right. Wow, way when we was at the you know, the bank, Bank of America. Really? I remember. Well, you was fucked up. Well, you got a question?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01What's up?
SPEAKER_00How's the chip in the circuit for other coming comedians inside?
SPEAKER_01Good question. Um, you gotta hit a lot of open mics, man. Gotta hit a lot of open mics, and you gotta be cuz um you and you gotta be on you gotta be on social media a lot. Right? And it is sad to say, it's sad to say, but this is the time that we are in now. I didn't start getting like really booked and really getting paid for shows like good money until I until I hit like 10k followers. No matter how good I was, whether I was better than the guy that um that had 25k followers and I had a thousand, they don't give a fuck. Because they want to know, like, okay, even though you're good, can you bring out people? Can you bring out a crowd? You know what I'm saying? Are you a are you an attraction? Right. Okay, all right, um, and then they'll also they'll honor the fact that okay, you came to my spot five times this month. You know what? Let me put you on the show. So it's like you gotta be seen like in me as a Haitian, I and this is where I'm kind of hard-headed. Um, I appreciate that question, by the way. Um, you gotta be in these people's faces, bro. As much as we like to don't like to be Sumoon and all this shit, bro. Yeah, gotta be You know, you know how we know how we prideful as hell. Yeah, but some prideful motherfuckers. If you really want to get put on, bro, you gotta be able to do that. You gotta be you gotta be moving, you gotta be moving, you gotta be in their face. Hey man, my name is this and that, I do this and that, bro. Like whether they don't pay attention to or not, but like you gotta shoot your shot because you never know who's gonna give you the opportunity. You never know. Hey, I remember you spoke to whatever like that. I gotta show up in Illinois, I'll take you up there with me. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's how these people move. Like, I have so many people hit me up, hey, we're gonna do this or we're gonna do this move or whatever, like that. It's like you have to talk to them, bruh. And they gotta see your work too. So it's like as long as you're consistent, you in their face, and you got a social media presence, yeah, they're gonna help you out. They're gonna see you. They definitely gonna see you. What's up? I'm I'm gonna say it like this, right? Because I I went to Again, that's a good question, man. I like this guy, man. You guys know this guy, man. Um it's two things, right? We don't have that blow-up circuit, and we don't we can down here in South Florida, we take we take it for granted, right? I'm I'm gonna give you a couple of years. Too cool. You motherfucker take it too cool. I traveled uh to LA to perform at the laugh factory. The laugh factory opens up at 8 o'clock. I was just gonna ask you, where have you performed other than South Florida? So now so you're now you done answered the question. So I have performed at the La Factory in LA. Okay. Um so the laugh factory opens up at 8 o'clock. Me, Gama, and another female comedian, we got there at around 4 o'clock. The line, not for people to watch the show, right? For people to perform. Because it was an open mic night. It was an open mic night, and people, you had to come in at a certain time to get on the list, and everybody else has put their name in a raffle. Wow, right? People were lined up outside at since 12 o'clock, 12 p.m. to go to an eight o'clock show, and you only had, I think, two or three minutes to get your jokes off. That's how that's how much it's valued in LA. That's how much comedy is valued in LA. Here in Miami, you can fucking go to the Dania improv, the fucking Miami improv. The show starts at fucking eight o'clock, you can go there at 8 30 and still get in, still do your five minutes. You get what I'm saying? Like, and then and then the the problem is you don't take it serious downhill. And the problem is like if you go to uh open mic night in LA, them motherfuckers funny for real. Them motherfuckers, like you can see 10 straight comics and all them funny. Open Mike Knight and 10 straight niggas is funny for real, for real. Like elite writing. You go to open mic night in my Miami Improv, and it's 10 niggas up there, you probably just seen two good niggas up there. So not only we take it for granted, we don't have an outlet, it's not really that much talent out there. You know what I'm saying? It's like we're not really like, yo, if I really want to do this, this how serious I gotta take it. So the competition is not as stiff. So I don't out I don't I don't have to be as sharp. You know what I'm saying? So yeah, bro, like it's not really a uh an outlet, like even though Miami Improv is big, Dana Improv is big, it's not really an outlet, it's just a platform. Two, we don't take it as serious down here. Three, it's like the talent, bro, it's not it's not adding up, bro. So that's the answer to your question. Let me ask you this you think you're gonna make a career out of this? How do you feel? Yes, I can. You can? Yes, I can. Because the reason why I feel like I can, because the way I my mind is so creative, bro. My mind is so creative, it's like you don't, I I I set up jokes where it's like you're not even thinking of shit like that. I feel like I'm so creative where it's like I can put together a joke where people can't even, you can't even fathom what is the premise behind that joke. And I've done it so many times, even on my social media. I feel like my writing is impeccable. I think the only thing that kind of hinders me from like really moving forward because I work a lot. Mind you, I got I got two jobs. Oh, okay, okay. You know what I'm saying? I got two jobs, I gotta take care of my mother. My mother's fucking 80 years old, moving one mile per hour around the house. You know what I'm saying? So I gotta take care of her, whatever, like that. So, but yeah, like once I'm I'm really in gold mode. That's where the blessing comes in at, though. You taking care of them, taking care of this old lady like that. Yeah, got to, got to. Feel me? That's God watching that. You feel what I'm saying? So yeah. So it's like once I'm I really put my head down and put in gold mode, like, yeah, most definitely. I might not be a Kevin Hart, but I know like I'm good enough to make a living out of this shit. That's what's so. I like that. You know what I'm saying? That's what's that. I like that. I like that. You know, you know, uh, uh, uh, I'm I'm I'm uh uh I'm gonna ask you this right. How you how how you how you talk about you talk about girls a lot on your on your thing. Do you fucking have a woman, nigga? Um, I used to. I I've been she dumped your ass because all that shit you be talking? Nah, she dumped my ass because I could I couldn't support that life. Take a shot. Take a shot, man. Take a shot, take a drink, take a drink, man. Take a drink, man. You you ain't really drinking though. I know you don't want to get it. I gotta drive, nigga. Yeah, yeah. But um, yeah, that shit didn't work because I couldn't match that lifestyle she wanted. You know what I'm saying? Like, and she was expensive. Yeah, it's like um I'm like everything had to be like cool, everything had to have a certain look. You get what I'm saying? It just didn't feel like things are so different now. Relationship is so different now. Yeah, you know, you know, I'm I'm I'm gonna say something. Some people might don't like what I'm about to say, but I feel like now these days relationship is not really about love, it's not really about respect and none of that. It's about what can you do for me? Which is which is you know, the it the and the things that there's nothing wrong with that. I'm cool with that. It's a business now, bro. No, but relationship is a business now. But the thing is that I'm I'm cool with that, but it's you but you gotta have some type of love in it for you to for the shit to last. I don't mind someone saying, like, hey, what can you do for me? Because we're we're fucking grown. We're like we're almost 40 right now. Well, I'm I'm almost 40. I was gonna say, what it's been for ages is men know that they have to pay. Ages ate all women, women are expensive.
unknownBut the man has always decided what is worth it for women to pay for.
SPEAKER_01That's true. Yeah, bro. I agree with that. I agree, I agree. Yeah, is that woman worth it? Is that woman worth it? Is that woman worth it? What the woman values for real, you know what I'm saying? Like, do you really value a genuine love, genuine connection? But but nowadays it's it's really hard because everything has to have a certain look. You know what I'm saying? And that's what that's what made the relationship so rocky, and then plus, like, she wasn't really like really rocking with the comedy. You know what I'm saying? She wasn't really coming to the shows and shit like that. Oh, sure, support. You feel me? Yeah, bro. Like, I remember one time I had a show with um DC Young Fly, and it was packed out, bro. Like, it was me, DC Young Fly, that boy funny, fat and funny, Pompa LaRandi, and like a few other comedians. Good people, good people. Yeah, and you know, I'm up there, I'm doing my thing. You would think like she'll be taking pictures of me. She didn't do nothing. Nothing. But like toward the end of the show, she's like, Wherever you are, you gotta go. I'm glad my dog got rid of you. And towards the end of the show, it's like she asked me if she could take a picture with DC Young Fly. Oh, you know what I'm saying? So it's like it's a disrespect. Yeah, it just stuff like that. She was Haitian? No, she was Jamaican. Yeah, bro. Yeah, it's something else.
SPEAKER_02It wasn't balanced. I mean, it was off balance. Yeah, it was balance. Off balance, yeah, bro. What it is, though. You learn, you live when you learn. Yeah, I live.
SPEAKER_01I've been in a pretty good lesson out relationship, bro. And I was thinking about it too. Pray a hand, boy. Pray your hand. Thank goodness, boy. Yeah, thank goodness, man. You didn't have what you got, man? You would have got you got another question, though. What you thinking? What you think?
SPEAKER_00Well, because my thing is like on a production standpoint, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I want to get into comedy. Um as far as like shooting specials for that's why it's like I'm curious to see like what's happening.
SPEAKER_01Not so much production, it's um work ethic. Um, and and that's from that's including me too. Like, um, I'm gonna give you, I'm gonna give you one one guy, like his work ethic is crazy, fat and funny. He posts every day, posts on all platforms, he's connected with all types of brands. Like, fat and funny say, bro, he'll he'll challenge me and say, Listen, I need you to post three times a day. And I'll be like, Yeah, yeah, I got you, I got you. And that would do it. And here go my dumb ass, like one time. You know what I'm saying? Like him, he is the mold of like crazy fucking work ethic, and not a lot of up-and-coming comedians have that in them. That's why you don't see as much talent down here. Another one, Elizabeth funny. Elizabeth posts every day, and to the point where it's like, I remember when Elizabeth first posted um her tour dates. And I'm looking at this I'm looking at the statements. I've seen that, boy. She had she had some nice. Yeah, I'm looking at the cities, I'm like, how the fuck does she know she has fans in Virginia? How the fuck do she knows she has fans in? In Texas. I'm looking, she was, yeah. But she just said, you know what? I fucking believe in myself where I'm gonna go there and I'm gonna rock out. She took two comedians with her and completed all dates, bro. Yeah, she went through trials and tribulations of certain spaces, but the fact that she even had that work ethic to say, you know what, I'm gonna get this done. And now what? This is like her second tour. You get what I'm saying? So it's yeah, it's it's it's mainly the work ethic, bro. Like, if you can, if you can find a young comedian who's hungry, I promise you, because like it's it's not hard to get your name out there, but it's just like people want to trust your work ethic, bro. If you got work ethic, everybody's gonna fuck with you. Yeah. Yeah, I know Ryan Davis, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But you know what I I think also too, I think it's a lot of people got that skill set, but they they they too busy watching what everybody else is doing. He said what he said earlier, he is he's himself. You know what I'm saying? It's like he like he's comfortable in being himself. He's not worrying about man, what's somebody else gonna say if he's trying to make jokes? You know, he he triff, I'm not gonna be trying to act funny around G, because I know G got a certain way that he vibe. So uh I'm I'm gonna just stay serious, knowing I'm a funny dude. You know what I'm saying? Because the homies is is more in a serious type of vibe, yeah. So I'm not gonna, you know, I'm I'm gonna be more serious. You know, be yourself a serious.
SPEAKER_01Right, right, right.
SPEAKER_02If and and what can happen, because you know, trends, people always follow trends. Follow trends, yeah. And once once that that trend gets broken, that that that man, Miami is is a funny town. I mean, this name the lane, the name alone is gonna is gonna blow us up. It's coming. You know what I'm saying? But he set the trend, people gonna start coming out of their skin that say, man, forget trying to be too tough when you ain't tough. Forget trying to be uh a gangster on the street, just be yourself. Well, I am a gangster on these streets now. Just retire. You know what I'm saying? But you No, no, but I'm talking about gangster and out there doing some crap complicated yourself, you know what I'm saying? Like, I ain't even be following this here, man. You know what I'm saying? I could I I can do all of this here, but at the same time, I'm when I'm in my okay, put it this way. When I'm with the family, I could joke and have the family laughing all the time all day. Right. When you go around your homeboys, you gotta be all serious. Oh, that's code type of shit. It's like, come on, man. Just just we we we we can be that. We can be that time. Like he was saying, Atlanta full of them. Yeah, Atlanta is full of these comedic dudes. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Atlanta's where they at.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. So I mean, Atlanta is what skipping the house from Miami. You know what I'm saying? So it's it's here. It just that it just ain't break yet. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01But slowly and surely, how many niggas too cool, man? That's the niggas too cool.
SPEAKER_02He's gonna break that. He's gonna break that. People with his work out things gonna break that. He's the example.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no.
SPEAKER_02But he's the example. It's like, man, we're gonna take all that. You trying to be too cool, you know what I'm saying? Uh-uh. We just gonna be funny. Laugh.
SPEAKER_01Just gotta loosen up a little bit. That's there you go, that's it, man.
SPEAKER_02Because once a main comedian comes down here, they sell out right around. Yeah. Cat Williams back to Hard Rock. They sell out. I'm like, where all these people come? Where anybody coming from to want to laugh? What cat um Cat Williams got to say? They coming from Cass City, Liberty City, they come from overtime, they come from all these areas to go watch this dude here laugh. So why I can't laugh with a homegrown.
SPEAKER_01The homegrown. But you know what they tell you though, you gotta go out to your city to blow. That's what that's what they say. That's what they say. I'm just saying, I'm just saying what they say now. It's kind of different for comedians because I think that that that that that matters in a sense for rappers. Yeah, comedians are the word for that. But what comedian that blown it. What comedian has blown out of South Florida, though? Give me a blown comedian, a real blown comedian. Uh David, David Lucas. Look up David Lucas. He's really, like, he's really known. David Lucas. David Lucas. He's been on Kill Tony. Man, he tours around the world. Um I never heard of him. I gotta go look it up. David Lucas. I gotta go Google that. Damn, I forgot his name. His name Cam Cam something, Cam So Funny or something like that. He was on Saturday Night Live. His name is Cam So Funny. Uh, that's another Spanish dude. Um, damn, I forgot his name, bro. He was on Saturday Night Live, too. He he used to work with only in. Something in uh Diaz or something like that. There's a few. There's a few that break the mo, but then those the reason why those dude like those guys like really went far because they're in those faces. Like Cam and David Lucas was on Kill Tony. And in that them two, three minutes right there, and they did they think, okay, all right, I got some gigs for you. And if they they even if they didn't have gigs for them, guess what? The fact that those millions of views on YouTube and Kill Tony is a one of those spots where it's like if you do good on there, yeah, they're coming to get you. If you're funny on there, they're coming to get you without a doubt. You know what I'm saying? So it's like we do have comedians that that that like that make it. Um and it's not hard for us to like sell out shows. It's not hard for us to like sell out shows in Miami Improv, whatever like that. Find funny to put together a show and sell out. I could put together a show at Miami Province and sell out. Elizabeth Elizabeth Funny can put out uh a show in Miami. You know what I'm saying? It's not that hard, but it's like okay, what's next? Can you sell out in New York? Can you sell out in LA? You know, that's the next thing. You know what I mean? But I feel like you have to dominate your city as a comedian. Yeah, you have to dominate your city before you leave. You can leave for sure, but dominate your city for you. You had you you haven't done nothing yet out of the country, like Canada. You haven't done nothing like that. No, nigga. Niggas in Canada is not fucking with me right now, bro. You know what I'm saying? They're not fucking with me. Like, what? Dwet? No, man, get up, get up out of here, man.
SPEAKER_02But didn't we grow up on Marvin Dixon? We grew up with Marvin Dixon.
SPEAKER_01Marvin Dixon's uh another one, he's pretty good too, man. See, like, but he but the thing with that's what that's what we that's Marvin Dixon, yeah. But Marvin He he didn't he didn't like he didn't I don't know man see well here's the thing with Marvin like and that's what I was saying like maybe I might not be a Kevin Hart funny, but I like I want to be where stable like Marvin Dixon is very he's a very well-known comedian in a city like he puts on shows at the casinos Do you know how hard it is to do that? Do you know what type of level of comedian you have to do to put to put shows like not shows at the at the seafood bar and grill and TGI Fridays like at these casino seats and he's selling those out and he does clean comedy too and he's very strict about who the fuck he puts on his shows, he don't play that shit. You feel what I'm saying? Like so he does very well, bro. Very well. Okay, I didn't I didn't I don't know, I didn't know we don't know it all. We don't know we don't know it all. You know what? Not that to get off that real quick, just to go on something else. No, for sure. I actually always on always uh before we start taking. What you got against the Dolphins? I think all Hawaiian quarterbacks are trash. When you going in on tour, because I feel tour suck, suck anyway. 100%. But you but you are going in. And I don't talk about nobody else on that team but him. But him, yeah. I noticed that. I don't disrespect H N I don't disrespect Waldo, don't disrespect Tyree, JLy Ramsey, Jalen Phelps, none of that. It'd be tour. Tour is a I and I've seen it from I've been calling this shit since the day he had that crazy season where he had like well, he was an all-pro quarterback, pro bowl, yeah, first. Getting up 70 points and shit like that. You can see that from like, okay, this is your weakness, and later down the road, it's somebody gonna find it. Somebody they did their homework in the next year. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, trash. And they fuck around and pay them that money. Oh my lord. Now that dead money is killing the Dolphins. They can't like let's say we we all know Dolphins gonna have a top five pick at the end of the season, right? All they have to all they can bake on is that draft pick. They don't have no money to sign anybody. They're lit, I think they're the only team in an NFL that is that owes a hundred million dollars in dead cash. Couldn't have had yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Get the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_01Well yeah, in Atlanta, right? Well, yeah, no, we're yeah, Atlanta, right? Yeah, he's in Atlanta right now. He's in Atlanta with Miami's money. Who won? That don't sound like a scammer to you? I can't hate the donkey. He's in Atlanta with Miami money. And he ain't gonna play nothing. He's gonna sit and watch. I think he's gonna play. He should he should be able to get money.
SPEAKER_02He might be able to start.
SPEAKER_01That's bone nuts, no, no, that uh Michael Penix, the nick with the do-rag.
SPEAKER_02Right, right.
SPEAKER_01He's sorry too.
SPEAKER_02Sorry. But they gave Kirk Cousins a boatload of money. Yeah, hey, hey. At the end of the day, NFL, man. Hey. It's such an easy job, man.
SPEAKER_01You can be trash and still get paid. That's what I said. But you can't be trash in a comedy and get paid, though. Oh, hell no. Hell no, they're gonna boo your ass, they're gonna stay quiet like crickets.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_01You're gonna be doing for the show for the rest of your life. For the rest of your life. Yeah, 100%. Damn, man. But you know, you you you you you was honest. You said you went, did a show, and there was cricket. Nobody, you know what I'm saying? Nobody showed love, nobody, nobody was quiet. That was a tough crowd. Yeah, and you know the one thing about being a comedian has taught me is bruh, it's okay to be honest. It's you know, not just a comedian, not just being a comedian, though. I think in life, period, it's okay to be honest, bruh. Because that shit gonna carry you a long way. 100%. You feel me? It's carry you a long way, dog. That's really good. You know, because you got a lot of people out here, they telling stories, they, they, they, they, they, they, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02They just I mean, some people and some stuff be funny, but you don't want to laugh. But you know it's funny.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? You know you can relate. You know what I'm saying? Try to assassinate other people's character by bullshit, by lying, by just what the hell?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's all that false propaganda stuff. He could go ahead and I don't want to pay attention to that. Y'all love laughing.
SPEAKER_01Me, I love laughing. 100% when you when you can be honest with your craft, that will make you 100% better, bro. Like it makes the mind flow so freely. Because you know how hard it's to keep up alive for years and years and years, bro. But when you tell the truth, bro, and you get it. You ain't gotta worry about nothing. You ain't gotta worry about nothing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02How did you say that the other day? You ain't say that. You ain't saying that. You lie, nigga.
SPEAKER_01Come on, man.
SPEAKER_02And you get caught, you're always gonna get caught in your line.
SPEAKER_01You're gonna get caught in your line. You're gonna hit you. Oh man. Hey. I appreciate you for coming too, man. Before we close out, man, what you anything you want to say. Uh mic is yours, man. Anything you want to talk about, anything you want to say. Listen, stay tuned. I got a lot of shit coming up. Um, I'm trying to get my sports show off the ground. As you know, I got trash can sports. Um, I got some skids coming up. Um and yeah, man, I'm gonna try to put this tour together, man, because I know people are asking me for it. But you know, I want to be prepared. Before I put something out, I want to be prepared, man. I just want to be able to do it. You don't want to go get booed. Yeah, bro. You know what? You know, uh, since I since I started, since I started this comedy ship, people and say, yo, put out merch. Put out merch, man, so people could buy it. But like, it's like, what I'm gonna do, put out uh this word on the shirt and be like, hey, come on. I'm not doing all that. You know what I'm saying? Like, I want to be able to, you know what I'm saying? I want to be able to uh put out something where it's like, yeah, you know, I'm I'm proud of pay my hard-earned money for that. For that. You know what I'm saying? It means something to me. So yeah. Yo, so shout out uh me, you know. Oh, I keep fucking forgetting, like the camera's right here, bro.
SPEAKER_02What they can find you at too.
SPEAKER_01Uh, you can find me on Instagram, Mind Me Got Jokes, Twitter, uh, TrashCat Sports. Uh, I'm posting on Facebook too. I'm trying to get monetized on Facebook. They say that's where the real money at. Um, so find me on Facebook. Yeah, I'm monetized on Facebook, man. Check I'll be getting me like four dollars. Man, you don't post nothing, man. You post good morning.
SPEAKER_03You think this ain't the video, nigga? You ain't doing that help me.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry, dog. I ain't doing nothing but the boys. Turn no goddamn goddamn country criteria. The fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_02That's it, man. You got to follow follow the man, but I'll put some more stuff out there, though. Having a box. I love it, man. I love it.
SPEAKER_01Hey, man, appreciate you, man, for coming to man. I'm glad you have me for a second time, man. Hey, man, hey, for real. You know, the first one ended pretty bad. Yeah, yeah. The first one, yeah. The first one ended drunk. So I'm glad you kind of like you sipping. You sipping it. And you was on a B and B mix. And you was on that same thing right there. You was on that same thing right there. That nigga got you was tore up from the floor, but I think you threw up. Oh man. I threw up about getting a haircut. I threw up about getting a haircut, bro.
unknownHey, man.
SPEAKER_01And you know, instead of niggas helping me, right? Instead of niggas helping me out, they're like, oh shit, my me got drugs and hey, hey, lift your head up a little bit. Let me let me get this on video. The fuck? Nigga, I'm dying, nigga. Yo, man. Hey, man. And you know what's crazy, right? As I'm getting the haircut, right? And I threw up on a thing, a week later, uh, the barber uh DM me like, hey bro, hey, I love your content and shit like that, but listen, um, I need like $300 because you fucked up my like you fucked up what? What you fucked up? The thing, the little apron shit. I said $300? I don't know, but it was like he actually a couple hundred. He's like, Oh man, seven, yeah. You pay them? I think I gave him like a hundred dollars for shit. He's like, yeah, man. Shit like $30, $40, man. What do you have? Special made shit or something? I think it was like Louie or some shit like that.
SPEAKER_02Ah flu. He probably had a few. He had a fluy. And man, you got Joey already a celebrity. Yeah, so you charge you taxing him and do something. You throw up on my shit, nigga. I had a fluid, you know. And he still gave a bow. He gave me throw him a bone.
